        I am a physician by profession, and firmly believe that balanced nutrition coupled with exercise is the key to enjoying a long and healthy life. My wife, Shanthi, a floral designer by profession, believes that good nutrition and spirituality go hand in hand to enjoy life. We married in 1973 and decided to immigrate to USA in 1974 to advance our professional careers. I completed my specialty training in Pediatrics and I am very interested in the health and the well being of our population. My wife continued her floral designing up till recently. During this period we witnessed several changes that were occurring in the health of the population at large. Obesity in children and in adults, were increasing at an alarming rate. So were the increasing incidence rates in diabetes, hypertension and cancers.

        During this period, a family member, one with 30 years of experience in every step of tea manufacturing, was encouraging us to get involved with introducing the finest of the teas from the best tea gardens of Sri-Lanka to the rest of the world. My wife and I pondered over this for a long time. Finally it dawned on us that we could be providing a mutual benefit between our adopted country, the USA, promoting good health in return for a financial gain to our mother country, Sri-Lanka. R.S.R. Tea Enterprises was established in 2008 with that concept in mind. While still in its infancy stage of development, with the help of our loyal consumer base, we hope to take a few baby steps toward growth in the ensuing years.

Tea Enterprises imports pure 'Ceylon Tea' in bulk form for the purpose of introducing the finest varieties of unblended and factory-fresh from the high, mid and low-grown tea gardens of Sri-Lanka, to the US, European, and Middle-eastern and Far-eastern consumer markets. Our agents in Sri-Lanka, with their vast and extensive experience, have the ability to select the best varieties of tea from the tea gardens of Sri-Lanka at competitive prices. This enables us to provide the best value for the consumers.
